![]() ![]() The new armor, not much to say here other than there are some returning sets from DS2 as some new sets and they all look great. There was a decent collection of weapon types in the DLC so there should be something for everyone. Now, the weapons, I think this is the first time ive ever said this about a souls DLC, but some of the weapons in this feel pay to win, like the dual greatswords or the frayed blade, these weapons dont take much skill to use yet can out put some crazy damage, thankfully though its a pretty small collection that are like that, maybe 3 at most. Overall though Gale is a good fight without a doubt, but just a little bit disappointing for the final boss. Kos was the opposite, he was somewhat feared because he was so tough, and thats whats missing from Gale, that feeling you get when you kill a very hard boss, that rush just want there. The difference between the two, for me at least, was that Gale felt like one of those bosses that you were going to kill on your first try, you might do well, or bad, but he was going down on the first try. for comparison, Orphan of Cos is harder and in my opinion a much better ending boss to a DLC for 1 large reason, he was hard as balls. But his difficulty felt a little lackluster considering hes supposed to be the FINAL boss. But is he a good boss? He is easily one of the best bosses in the game if not the best, and easily up there in the "Top 10 Dark Souls Bosses". I just want to say this, was he the best ending to the souls series? No, far from it. Some balancing to this "boss" and it could become a very fun boss, but as of right now, its bad. The "Spear of the sunlight" boss is the weakest boss in the entire game, without a invader its a quick 20 second boss that you can stunlock, and with a invader it becomes a PvP "duel", sounds cool? nope, if the host summons just 1 phantom is typically over for you within a minute. Midir is a very tough fight, being that his only weak spot is his head, it can be very hard for a melee only build to fight him, even some spell builds can struggle, a good way to kill him is to use pestilent mercury and wait. Fortunately the first boss, demon prince, is easily one of the best fights in the entire DLC, this is the closest boss to OnS we have gotten since DS1 and it does it very, very well. Unfortunately after the first 1-2 hours the PvE takes a rapid descent into laziness, another large open swamp with even less enemies/items, overall easier enemies and generally feels rushed when compared to the first 2 main areas. Shortly after you come to the first big swamp, items everywhere, smaller enemies luring you into traps, again classic FS level design, all is good. This DLC starts off very strong, good aesthetic and introduces 2 new enemies, 1 being the Harold knights and it teaches you that killing them with a plunging attack is the best way to go about them, classic FromSoft level/gameplay design. As players make their way to the fabled Ringed City they will encounter ancient beasts, a new cast of characters teetering on the edge of insanity, new armor, weapons, magic, and at the bottom of it all, a long lost city filled with new horrors for players to overcome. Experience the epic final chapter of a dark world that could only be created by the mind of Hidetaka Miyazaki. This new adventure has players chasing after the Slave Knight Gael to the literal end of the world as he searches for the Dark Soul of Humanity.Īt the close of the Age of Fire, as the world ends and all lands converge upon themselves, a lone adventurer descends into the madness of the earth and uncovers the secrets of the past. ![]() Journey to the world’s end to search for the Ringed City and encounter new lands, new bosses, new enemies with new armor, magic and items.
